Ingredients
- Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Spanish onions 1 head
- Habanero Pepper 2 pieces
- Fresh Berries 2 cups
- Bourbon ½ cup
- Ketchup ½ cup
- Apple Cider Vinegar 0.3 cups
- Brown Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Black Pomegranate Molasses 1 tablespoon
- Ground clove 0.1 teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and sauté the finely chopped onion until soft, about 3–4 minutes.
Step 2
Add the finely chopped garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Step 3
Pour in the bourbon, increase the heat, and cook for another 5 minutes until the bourbon has mostly evaporated.
Step 4
Add the blueberries, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, molasses, and allspice. Bring to a boil again, reduce the heat, and simmer for about 20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
