Beetroot Appetizer with Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • Onion 1 head
  • Beetroot 4 pieces
  • Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar essence 2 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Mushrooms 10 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Boil the beetroot in boiling water until soft, about 1 hour. Drain and immerse in cold water. Peel and cut into thin strips.

Step 2

In a pan, heat the vegetable oil and sauté the finely chopped onion until soft, being careful not to burn it.

Step 3

Add the thinly sliced mushrooms and sauté until soft.

Step 4

Then add the beetroot, finely chopped garlic, sugar, and vinegar. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.

Step 5

Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate overnight.
