Description

The fish turns out to be very aromatic thanks to the marinade, where the combination of beer and the honeyed flavor of Japanese teriyaki sauce works incredibly well. This marinade is especially good with fish varieties that lack their own brightness—such as haddock or cod. If the fish has a strong flavor that can be overwhelming, like mackerel or flounder, the beer's sweet-spicy marinade with an interesting hoppy bitterness will elevate and soften it.

Ingredients

  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Light Beer 10 fl oz
  • Yakiniku sauce 5 fl oz
  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Lime 1 piece
  • Smoked salt to taste
  • Herbs to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix the beer with the teriyaki sauce and squeeze lime juice into the mixture.

Step 2

Add olive oil, minced garlic, and smoked paprika.

Step 3

Mix the marinade well until it is uniform.

Step 4

Leave the fish in the marinade for 20 minutes at room temperature before grilling, or refrigerate it for 1 to 2 hours.

Step 5

Serve the cooked fish with fresh herbs.
