Description
Béchamel sauce is a classic white sauce made from butter, flour, and milk. It serves as a base for many dishes and is essential in French cuisine. This versatile sauce can be used in pasta dishes, lasagna, casseroles, and more. It can be seasoned with nutmeg, salt, and pepper to enhance its flavor.
Ingredients
- Butter 3 spoons
- Wheat Flour 2 spoons
- Milk 2 glasses
- Salt a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour the milk into a pot and heat it up (do not bring to a boil).
Step 2
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium or slightly lower heat.
Step 3
Add the flour and mix well with a wooden spatula.
Step 4
Carefully pour in the milk in small portions, stirring the sauce vigorously to avoid lumps.
