Bean and Tuna Salad

Ingredients

  • Canned Mackerel in Oil 5 oz
  • Canned Baby Beets 5 oz
  • Spanish onions 1 head
  • Lemon ½ pieces
  • Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Drain all the liquid from the can of beans, rinse the beans thoroughly, and transfer them to a large bowl.

Step 2

Remove the tuna from the oil and transfer it to the beans.

Step 3

Coarsely chop the red onion. Some people even rinse the onion to tone down its strong flavor and aroma. However, it's better to skip the onion entirely than to do this. Sprinkle the onion over the tuna and beans.

Step 4

Season with salt and pepper, squeeze in half a lemon, add olive oil, and mix well.
