Bavette Pasta with Spinach and Turkey Italian Style
Ingredients
- Bavette Pasta 10 oz
- Chicken fillet 10 oz
- Crushed Tomatoes in Their Own Juice 20 oz
- Frozen spinach discs 5 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 0 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Herbes de Provence 1 teaspoon
- Ground clove a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Chop the onion, mince the garlic. Cut the turkey fillet into strips. Grate the Parmesan cheese using a fine grater.
Step 2
In a deep skillet, sauté the chopped onion and pieces of turkey fillet in olive oil for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Pour about 1 liter of water into the skillet, add the garlic, frozen spinach, crushed tomatoes, salt, spices, and the bavette pasta (flat spaghetti), breaking it in half beforehand. If there isn't enough water to cover all the ingredients, add more. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with a lid.
Step 4
After it comes to a boil, uncover and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, stirring. I prefer my pasta al dente. If you prefer a softer pasta, cover and let it sit for a few more minutes after turning off the heat.
Step 5
Excess water can be drained. When serving, garnish with chopped fresh basil (if desired) and grated Parmesan cheese.
