Banana-Vanilla Pudding-Custard

Ingredients

  • Sugar 4 tablespoons
  • Water 5 tablespoons
  • Bananas 1 piece
  • Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
  • Milk 15 fl oz
  • Honey 3 tablespoons
  • White Beans 1 piece

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Heat a skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Pour in the water and add the sugar, stir and let it cook until the mixture caramelizes. Divide this mixture between ramekins and place 'coins' of banana on top.

Step 3

In the skillet over medium heat, heat the milk with honey.

Step 4

Add the vanilla seeds from the pod to the milk. Also, toss in the pod for a while. Stir and turn off the heat.

Step 5

In a bowl, beat the eggs and gradually pour in the milk mixture. Whisk well to prevent the eggs from curdling.

Step 6

Strain the mixture and pour it into the molds. Cover everything with plastic wrap.

Step 7

Place a large pot or skillet over medium heat. Arrange all the molds at the bottom and pour water into the pot. Cook for about 20 minutes, but do not let it boil under any circumstances.

Step 8

Remove the molds from the pot and let them cool slightly. Place in the refrigerator.

Step 9

Remove the pudding from the molds and serve.
