Description

Baked turnips with pears and honey-rosemary sauce

Ingredients

  • Pears 20 oz
  • Turnips 20 oz
  • Coarse Salt 1½ teaspoons
  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Vegetable Oil ¼ cup
  • Honey 2 tablespoons
  • Dried Rosemary 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 480°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Without peeling the turnips and pears, cut them into medium cubes (remove the core from the pears). Place on the baking sheet, drizzle with oil, and sprinkle with salt. Toss and spread in a single layer. Bake in the oven for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender and golden.

Step 3

Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the honey and rosemary and let simmer for a few seconds. Remove from heat.

Step 4

Transfer the turnips and pears to a large bowl, drizzle with the sauce, and toss. Serve immediately.
