Description
An escargotiere (from French escargot — snail) is a special pan with indentations (6, 12, or 24) for cooking and serving snails. It can be made of ceramic or metal. It can be replaced with a heat-resistant small dish or mini skillet (the handle should not have plastic).
Ingredients
- Butter 6 tablespoons
- Canned Crabs 12 pieces
- Garlic 1 clove
- Shallot 1 head
- Breadcrumbs 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Step 2
Soften the butter and add the chopped shallot and garlic. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Place the snails in the escargotiere one by one, top each with the butter mixture, and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
Step 4
Bake in the oven for 15–20 minutes. Serve hot.
