Baked onions with gorgonzola sauce
Ingredients
- Spanish onions 8 heads
- Goat cheese 5 oz
- Cream 5 fl oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Place the whole onions with their skins on a baking sheet and put them in the oven for 40 minutes.
Step 3
While the onions are baking, prepare the sauce. Place the broken cheese pieces into a blender and pour in the cream.
Step 4
Blend until smooth.
Step 5
Taste and season the sauce with salt to your liking.
Step 6
Remove the skins from the baked onions and cut the onions in half.
Step 7
Arrange the onion halves on a serving plate and sprinkle with salt and freshly ground pepper.
Step 8
Top the onions with the sauce.
Step 9
Serve the baked onions hot with red wine.
