Baked Onion Rings

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Mild Chili Spice 1 teaspoon
  • Dessert Yogurt 10 fl oz
  • Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
  • Onion 3 pieces
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Corn Nacho Chips 5 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 390°F. In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup of flour, 0.5 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of chili pepper. In another medium bowl, combine the yogurt, eggs, and 0.5 cup + 2 tablespoons of flour. Whisk until a smooth batter forms.

Step 2

Crush the chips well. Peel the onions and slice them into rings about 1 centimeter thick. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush it with vegetable oil. Place it in the hot oven for 8 minutes, or until the oil starts to sizzle. Meanwhile, coat the onion rings in the flour mixture from the large bowl.

Step 3

Dip each ring into the batter and let the excess drip off. Then coat the rings in the crushed chips.

Step 4

Place the prepared rings on the baking sheet and bake each side until golden brown for about 8 minutes on average.

Step 5

Sprinkle with salt while the onion rings are still hot. Serve with any interesting sauce. You can mix plain yogurt with spices.
