Description
Baked oatmeal granola with nuts and coconut flakes
Ingredients
- Nuts ½ cup
- Oats 2 cups
- Light raisins 4 tablespoons
- Sunflower Oil 1 tablespoon
- Coconut Oil 2 tablespoons
- Sunflower Seeds 2 tablespoons
- Vanillin a pinch
- Coconut flakes 4 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
First, prepare all the ingredients and a large bowl where we will mix everything.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 320-356°F (160-180°C). Let it warm up while we get started.
Step 3
Now, let's begin. Pour the oats into the bowl. I used medium-sized oats as the large ones are too coarse, and the small ones will burn.
Step 4
Add all the fillers to the oats: roasted nuts, raisins, peeled sunflower seeds, coconut flakes, and vanillin. Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly.
Step 5
Now, add the vegetable oils to the dry mixture. If you don't have coconut oil, you can completely replace it with sunflower or olive oil. However, coconut oil and coconut flakes will give your granola an incredible delicate tropical flavor. Make sure to mix the oil well with the entire oat-nut mixture.
Step 6
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the granola in a thin layer.
Step 7
Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes. Be sure to stir the granola with a dry spoon every 10 minutes!
