Description

Dried fruits and nuts can be chopped as you like. During fasting, granola can be combined with any plant-based milk or yogurt, as well as fruit purees and juice.

Ingredients

  • Nuts 5 oz
  • Ground Oats 15 oz
  • Dried Turkey 5 oz
  • Honey 3 tablespoons
  • Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Chop any nuts of your choice randomly; you can chop half and leave the other half whole (I used cashews, sunflower seeds, and flaxseed).

Step 2

Cut your favorite dried fruits into small pieces (I used dried pears, crab apples, and apricots).

Step 3

Mix the oats, nuts, and dried fruits.

Step 4

If the honey is thick, melt it in a water bath beforehand. Mix it with the vegetable oil (I used a blend of cocoa butter and extra virgin olive oil).

Step 5

Pour the oil-honey mixture into the oats and mix thoroughly. Spread the granola on a baking sheet, flatten it into an even layer, and place it in a preheated oven at 320°F for 30-40 minutes.

Step 6

During cooking, take the baking sheet out 3-4 times and stir the oats.

Step 7

Allow the finished granola to cool completely and store it in a glass jar.

Step 8

I served it with strawberry puree, banana, and thick white yogurt. If you like milk, that's great; just warm it slightly and add the oats, or use it cold. Fresh juice, kefir, Greek yogurt, or drinkable yogurt — all of these are wonderful bases for granola.
