Description
Baked Farfalle with Beef in Béchamel Sauce
Ingredients
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Beef 20 oz
- Morels 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Melted Cheese 5 oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Onion 1 piece
- Oregano to taste
- Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
- Green Tagliatelle Pasta 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In boiling salted water, add a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil (preferably olive oil), toss in the pasta, and cook for 1/3 less time than indicated on the package. Meanwhile, slice the mushrooms, bell pepper, and meat into thin slices. Finely chop the garlic. Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
In a hot skillet, quickly sauté the onion, then add the meat and mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. A couple of seconds before it's done, add the garlic and oregano.
Step 3
Meanwhile, prepare the béchamel sauce. Melt 50 grams of butter, pour in 200 ml of milk, and bring to a boil over low heat. Stirring constantly, add 2 tablespoons of flour. After 2–3 minutes, the sauce will start to thicken.
Step 4
Distribute the partially cooked farfalle, meat, mushrooms, and bell pepper into individual baking dishes (or one large dish, depending on what you have on hand). Pour the sauce over. Bake for 10 minutes. Grate the cheese.
Step 5
Remove from the oven, sprinkle with cheese, and return for another 5 minutes. Take out of the oven.
