Baked Chicken Wings in Sweet and Spicy Sauce
Appetizers • Chinese
Description
The main ingredients of the sauce are tomato paste, garlic, lemon juice, and sugar. Other seasonings can be added to taste. The spiciness of the wings depends on how much chili powder/red pepper/hot sauce you add.
Ingredients
- Duck wings 35 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce 0 oz
- Grated Ginger Root a pinch
- Paprika 1 tablespoon
- Smoked salt 1 tablespoon
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Ground Dried Garlic a pinch
- Soy Sauce 3 spoons
- Sugar 2 spoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice 2 spoons
- Vinegar essence 1 tablespoon
- Mild Chili Spice to taste
- Dried Rosemary a pinch
- Ketchup to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the sauce. To do this, mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl (crush the fresh garlic using a garlic press or grate it).
Step 2
Place the wings in a baking dish. If necessary, grease the dish with oil. Preheat the oven to 355°F on the convection setting. Toss the wings with 3/4 of the sauce, then place in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes. (If you prefer a crispy crust, add all the sauce, bake for 35 minutes instead of 25, and skip the next step. In this case, the wings will be less spicy.)
Step 3
Remove the wings from the oven, add the remaining sauce, toss to combine, and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Serve hot.
