Baked Brie in Puff Pastry with Cranberries
Ingredients
- Dried cranberries with sugar 20 oz
- Fruit Jelly 4 tablespoons
- Muscovado Sugar 5 oz
- Brandy 2 tablespoons
- Port Wine 1 tablespoon
- Brie cheese 0 lbs
- Puff Pastry 10 oz
- Whole egg 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the cranberries, jelly, sugar, and alcohol in a pan and bring to a boil. Boil for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened. Let cool.
Step 2
Roll out the pastry and place the cheese in the center, drizzling with 2 tablespoons of the sauce.
Step 3
Fold the edges of the pastry over the center and seal tightly. Remove any excess pastry.
Step 4
Carefully turn the pie onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cut leaves from the leftover pastry, brush the pie with water, and attach the leaves. Let sit for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Step 6
Mix the yolk with 1 tablespoon of water and brush it over the pastry.
Step 7
Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let sit for 10 minutes.
