Baguette with Beef, Arugula, and Mustard Mayonnaise
Ingredients
- Olive Oil 5 fl oz
- Spanish onions 1 head
- Brown Sugar 0 oz
- Black Cumin (Cumin) 0 oz
- Balsamic Vinegar 0 fl oz
- Dijon Mustard 0 oz
- Mayonnaise 0 oz
- Arugula 5 oz
- Lamb Neck Fillet 20 oz
- French Baguette 2 pieces
- Tomatoes 2 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat 30 ml of oil in a skillet. Add the sliced onion and cook slowly, covered, stirring until the onion is soft but not browned. Remove the lid, add the sugar and vinegar, and cook for another 10 minutes until the onion is browned. Remove from heat and add the cumin.
Step 2
Meanwhile, make the mustard mayonnaise by mixing the mustard and mayonnaise.
Step 3
Drizzle the arugula leaves with 15 ml of olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Heat the remaining oil in a skillet over high heat. Slice the meat into 4 thin pieces and fry for 2 minutes on each side, adding more oil if needed. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Cut the baguettes in half and serve with separate bowls of onions, mustard mayonnaise, arugula leaves, meat, and sliced tomatoes. Let everyone assemble their own baguette as they wish.
