Description

Lassi is an Indian milkshake somewhat similar to our kefir okroshka. Milk, herbs, or vegetables combine to create a refreshing and invigorating drink. The addition of avocado brings a sense of fullness, as if you've eaten a loaf of bread without taking a single bite. The creamy texture of ripe avocado resembles slightly melted butter, while its chemical composition is similar to that of heavy cream. The only difference is that the fats in avocado are plant-based. Just as sharks have pilot fish as a bonus, avocado always pairs well with lemon or lime juice, preventing the flesh from oxidizing. When oxidized, the flesh changes from an appealing green hue to an unappetizing brown.

Ingredients

  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Lime 1 piece
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon
  • Spanish onions 0 oz
  • Parsley 0 oz
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • 10% cream 15 fl oz
  • Milk 15 fl oz
  • Avocado 2 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Scoop the flesh from the ripe avocados, chop the onion and garlic coarsely, and blend the avocados, onion, and garlic in a blender along with the milk, cream, parsley, lime juice, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Step 2

For an extra refreshing boost, it's a good idea to add a little ice to the glass. Serve in glasses, garnished with grated lime zest.
