  • Asparagus 30 oz
  • Puff Pastry 1 piece
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Sour Cream (10%) 2 tablespoons
  • Spices to taste
  • Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
  • Hard Cheese 5 oz
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Black Pepper a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Trim the tough ends off the asparagus, pour salted boiling water over it, and boil for 3-5 minutes (depending on the thickness of the stalks).

Step 2

In a bowl, mix the egg, sour cream, and any spices well (about 1/4 teaspoon of salt, a pinch of pepper — definitely, basil, oregano, parsley, etc. if desired). If necessary, add a little milk: the mixture should be liquid, like cream.

Step 3

Grate the cheese on a fine grater, add half to the mixture, and mix again.

Step 4

Grease the baking dish with oil, roll out the dough, and place it in the dish, forming edges at least 5 cm high.

Step 5

Arrange the asparagus on the dough in 1-2 layers (depending on the thickness of the stalks: the pie should not be too high).

Step 6

Pour the mixture into the dish, spreading it evenly over the entire surface to cover all the asparagus. Evenly sprinkle the second half of the cheese on top. Fold the remaining edges of the dough inward.

Step 7

Bake at 390°F for about 10-15 minutes, until a golden crust forms.
