Asparagus in Bacon and Puff Pastry
Ingredients
- Asparagus 10 oz
- Bacon 10 oz
- Unleavened dough 5 oz
- Whole egg 1 piece
- Semi-soft cream cheese 2 tablespoons
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Scallions to taste
- Mayonnaise 2 tablespoons
- Toasted Sesame a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. If using frozen asparagus, thaw it beforehand. Also thaw the puff pastry.
Step 2
Cut the pastry into strips 1 cm wide.
Step 3
Wrap the asparagus with a strip of bacon.
Step 4
You should have about 10 stalks.
Step 5
Then, wrap each stalk with the puff pastry in a spiral manner.
Step 6
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it with sunflower oil using a silicone brush.
Step 7
Transfer the asparagus to the baking sheet and brush the pastry with egg yolk to help it brown during baking.
Step 8
Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Finely chop the green onion.
Step 10
For the sauce, mix cream cheese, green onion, a little homemade mayonnaise, and garlic in a separate bowl.
Step 11
Serve with the sauce.
