Description
In France, it is customary to serve the sauce with pieces of Provençal Fougasse bread.
Ingredients
- White bread 1 piece
- Anchovy fillet 0 oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Olive Oil 6 tablespoons
- Meyer Lemon Juice 15 fl oz
- Mild Chili Spice to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the crust off the bread and slice it into small pieces. Then, crumble the bread into crumbs using a food processor. Add the anchovies in oil, garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice to make a smooth puree. Add chili to taste.
Step 2
If the mixture is too thick, dilute it with a couple of tablespoons of cold water until it reaches a sour cream consistency. Place it in a small bowl, cover it, and refrigerate.
Step 3
Serve with warmed bread.
