  • Orange Bell Peppers 0 lbs
  • Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Roast the peppers in the oven or on the grill. Bake until the flesh of the pepper becomes soft. Remove the skin and scoop out the seeds.

Step 2

Pass the pepper through a meat grinder.

Step 3

Transfer the pepper mixture to a skillet or saucepan with vegetable oil. Simmer on low heat for three to four hours. The ajvar will be ready when all the moisture has evaporated. Add salt.

Step 4

The prepared ajvar can be eaten immediately or after cooling it slightly. It can be enjoyed on its own or served alongside meat and cheese.
