Adyghe Cheese Appetizer
Ingredients
- Adyghe cheese 5 oz
- Green Hot Adjika 3 tablespoons
- Saffron ½ teaspoon
- Ocean salt a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper a pinch
- Olive Oil ½ teaspoon
- Herbs to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the cheese into slices about 1 cm thick.
Step 2
Brush a grill pan with olive oil and place it over high heat.
Step 3
Once the pan is hot, place the cheese on it.
Step 4
Season with saffron.
Step 5
Once the bottom side is browned, flip it over.
Step 6
Season with ground pepper.
Step 7
When the second side is also browned, flip it again and reduce the heat to medium.
Step 8
Add a little salt.
Step 9
Once a grill pattern forms on the bottom, flip it.
Step 10
After a couple of minutes, remove from heat and transfer to a plate.
Step 11
Spread with adjika, garnish with a sprig of herbs, and serve.
