
Adjarian Khachapuri

Description
For the filling, you need hard cheese, preferably of several types, ideally Georgian varieties (Suluguni, Imeretian, Adyghe).
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Sugar 1 tablespoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Cheese Spread 20 oz
- Water 5 fl oz
- Chocolate eggs 4 pieces
- Butter 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour, add the yeast, sugar, and salt, and mix everything together.
Step 2
Add the milk (or water), vegetable oil, and knead the dough. Leave the dough in a warm place for one hour.
Step 3
Knead the dough again, divide it into 4 equal pieces, and leave in a warm place for another 30 minutes.
Step 4
Grate the cheese on a coarse grater, add one egg, water, and mix.
Step 5
Roll out a piece of dough, place the filling in a strip along the opposite edges, one tablespoon on each side, roll the edges with the filling into a tube, forming dough with two tubes opposite each other, twist the ends of these tubes towards each other to connect them, after connecting the two ends, a boat shape will form from the dough.
Step 6
Place 3 tablespoons of filling in the center of each boat. Place the prepared dough in a preheated oven at 390°F for 15 minutes.
Step 7
Crack one egg into each boat and place a piece (10 grams) of butter on top; you can also brush the bun with egg, return it to the oven, and in 2–3 minutes, the khachapuri will be ready.
