Description

The filling for yantyk is usually placed raw, but we slightly adapted the recipe and sautéed it a bit, and it turned out just as delicious. Yantyk is considered a dietary dish since it is cooked in a dry pan rather than in a large amount of boiling oil. For variety, try making it with meat filling or cheese, and serve hot.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter 4 tablespoons
  • Boiling water ½ cup
  • Pork Mince 5 oz
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Chopped Green Onions 2 tablespoons
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Prepare the dough: In a heatproof bowl, mix the flour, salt, and butter. Then pour in ½ cup of boiling water and mix the dough well with a spoon. Be careful! The dough is hot.

Step 2

When the dough cools, place it on a floured surface and knead it well with your hands. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, then fold it into thirds and roll it out again. Repeat this process 3 times.

Step 3

Prepare the filling: Sauté the onion with the mince slightly. Let it cool.

Step 4

Cut the rolled-out dough into rectangles, place the filling on one edge, and add 1 piece of butter on top of the filling. Close with the other half of the dough and pinch the edges well.

Step 5

Fry the resulting chebureks in a dry pan until golden brown (it’s best to use a non-stick pan).

Step 6

Finally, brush with melted butter and let sit under a lid for a while. Serve with vegetables and sauce.
