Windsor Meat Soup
Ingredients
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Beef 5 oz
- Lamb 5 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Campbell's Beef Broth 25 fl oz
- Carrot 1 piece
- Parsnip 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Parsley 3 stems
- Bay leaf 3 pieces
- Mild Chili Spice ¼ teaspoon
- Dried Chamomile 0 oz
- Madeira ¼ cup
- Rice ½ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the meat into small cubes and coat in flour.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat and sauté the meat cubes for about 3 minutes.
Step 3
Add the remaining flour to the pot and cook the meat for another minute.
Step 4
Pour in the beef broth, add the chopped vegetables, herbs, and spices, stir, and simmer for 2 hours with a loosely covered lid.
Step 5
Before serving, add the pre-cooked rice and Madeira to the soup. Serve with white bread.
