Ingredients
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Dry yeast 1½ teaspoons
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Water 10 fl oz
- Flaxseeds to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dissolve the yeast in warm water (35–100°F), add sugar, salt, and olive oil, and stir.
Step 2
Add flour and spices (seeds) to the mixture, and start kneading until it becomes firm enough to knead by hand.
Step 3
Grease the dough with oil, cover it, and place it in a warm place for 30 minutes. During this time, the dough should increase 2–3 times in size.
Step 4
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (the dough can be divided into two pieces).
Step 5
Place a dish with water at the bottom of the preheated oven (we need steam). Bake in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes, then remove the dish with water, brush the partially baked bread with salted water (for the crust), and continue baking for another 15–20 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the bread, cover it with a towel, and let it rest for 10–15 minutes. It can then be served.
