Description

A nutritious bread featuring flaxseeds, which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, bran packed with fiber, and pumpkin seeds that provide our bodies with carotene. Recipe provided by food blogger Emily Johnson.

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 15 oz
  • Wheat Flour 0 oz
  • Bran 0 oz
  • Sugar 2 spoons
  • Salt 1 tablespoon
  • Flaxseeds 0 oz
  • Shelled pumpkin seeds to taste
  • Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
  • Water 10 fl oz
  • Dry yeast 1½ spoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Add all the ingredients except for the pumpkin seeds to the bread maker according to the instructions. Different bread makers may have different methods: in some, the wet ingredients are added first, followed by the dry ones, and in others, it's the opposite. Sprinkle the yeast into the flour so that it does not come into contact with water and salt. It's best to soak the flax seeds in boiling water for a few minutes, then drain the water.

Step 2

Add the pumpkin seeds to the designated spice compartment or sprinkle them in at the signal from the bread maker at the end of the kneading process.

Step 3

Bake in the standard setting for wheat bread, 750 grams, medium crust.

Step 4

It's best to cool the bread on a wire rack — this allows it to cool evenly and prevents it from becoming soggy.
