
Whole Grain Buns

Description
I sprinkle the buns with flaxseeds and sesame seeds, and I add sautéed onions. While they are hot, I cut them in half and put cheese inside; it melts from the warmth of the buns and... it's absolutely delicious!)) You can use sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, herbs de Provence, garlic, and many other ingredients!
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- 1% Kefir 10 fl oz
- Milk 0 fl oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Ocean salt a pinch
- Sugar ½ teaspoon
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift both types of flour and add ground sea salt.
Step 2
Warm the milk, add sugar and yeast, and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
Step 3
Add kefir, the milk-yeast mixture, and the egg to the flour, and knead the dough. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few hours (I usually refrigerate overnight and bake the buns in the morning).
Step 4
When you're ready to bake the buns, take out the dough, grease your hands with olive oil, pinch off pieces of dough, and shape them into buns.
Step 5
Bake for 20–25 minutes at a temperature of 170–355°F, but it's best to rely on the color.
