Watermelon Sorbet with Rum and Mint
Ingredients
- Watermelon 5 lbs
- Lime 3 pieces
- Dark rum 3 tablespoons
- Powdered Sugar 1½ tablespoons
- Fresh Mint 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Remove seeds and rind from the watermelon and cut it into pieces. Combine the watermelon flesh, salt, powdered sugar, lime juice, and rum. Blend until smooth using a blender.
Step 2
Add more powdered sugar to the sorbet if needed. Add chopped mint and blend again.
Step 3
Transfer the sorbet to an airtight container and place it in the freezer for 8 hours. Stir the mixture thoroughly every hour.
Step 4
15 minutes before serving, take the dessert out of the freezer. Scoop into dessert bowls and serve, garnished with mint leaves.
