Warm salted caramel sauce with vanilla ice cream and caramelized nuts
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Gingerbread-flavored syrup 5 fl oz
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Ocean salt 1 teaspoon
- 33% Cream 10 fl oz
- Raw cane sugar 0 oz
- Roasted Peanuts 0 oz
- Vanilla Ice Cream to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine the butter, brown sugar, syrup, vanilla, and salt. Melt over medium heat. Add the cream and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
Step 2
Pour the cane sugar into a clean skillet and place over medium heat without stirring until dissolved. Cook until the color turns golden. Add a pinch of sea salt and the nuts. Mix well. Transfer to a sheet of oiled foil and quickly spread it out. Allow to cool and break into pieces.
Step 3
Before serving, place 3 scoops of ice cream in dessert bowls, drizzle with warm sauce, and sprinkle with caramelized nuts.
