Ingredients
- Walnuts 30 oz
- Clarified Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 15 oz
- Water 15 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pass the toasted walnuts through a meat grinder. In a saucepan, melt the butter, add the flour, stir with a wooden spatula, and roast until golden brown. Lower the heat and, stirring, add the walnuts, frying for one minute.
Step 2
In the pot, without removing from the heat, pour in the hot sugar syrup, stirring until a uniform thick mass forms.
Step 3
Transfer the hot halva to a countertop, greasing it with butter. Then, shape it into a round or square slab about 2.5–3 cm thick. Once the slab cools slightly, cut it into diamond shapes. It can be served with honey.
