Walnut Cookies
Baking and Desserts • European
Description
If there is more than 50 grams of raisins, you should use less sugar; otherwise, it will be too sweet. The finished cookies have a texture very similar to classic almond cookies, so if you use almonds instead of walnuts, I think you can achieve a 100% equivalent.
Ingredients
- Sugar 1 cup
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Vanilla salt 1 teaspoon
- Walnuts 0 oz
- Raisins 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Baking Powder ½ teaspoon
- Ocean salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sort the raisins, pour boiling water over them for 30-40 minutes, then drain and dry. Grind the walnuts into fine crumbs.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar until light, add the raisins, walnuts, and flour, previously sifted with baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
Step 3
Place the dough on a baking sheet, previously greased with oil, and put it in an oven preheated to 390°F. Bake until the crust is golden brown, about 20-25 minutes. Let the finished cookies cool slightly and cut them into pieces while warm. Serve warm or cooled with black tea or coffee.
