Description

These waffle tubes are not very easy to make if you don't have a waffle iron. The thinner you can spread the sticky batter on a dry skillet, the thinner and crispier the waffles will be. If they are not thin, the process of rolling the tubes will be easier, and they won't break or dry out quickly. But don't be afraid: it's not as scary as it seems, and even an inexperienced cook can succeed. If you're having trouble with the batter, it's perfectly acceptable to add a little milk to make it thinner and cook simple pancakes instead. The filling for the tubes can be anything, but they are especially good with cottage cheese, both hot and cold.
