Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Whole egg 4 pieces
- Powdered Sugar ¾ glasses
- Vanilla extract 3 spoons
- Wheat Flour 2 glasses
- Chili jam 15 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the butter and powdered sugar until creamy.
Step 2
Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract. Mix well until smooth. Gradually add the flour.
Step 3
Knead the dough. It should become sufficiently elastic and not stick to your hands, so you may need more or less flour. Add it gradually, about 2 tablespoons at a time.
Step 4
Roll out 2 balls — one should be slightly larger than the other. Place the smaller ball in the refrigerator, wrapped in cling film.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Spread the batter evenly across the surface of the tray, forming a slight border around the edges.
Step 6
Spread the jam over the dough.
Step 7
Grate the remaining dough on top using a coarse grater. Place it in the preheated oven for about 20–25 minutes, until the pie is slightly golden.
Step 8
Cut the cooled pie into squares.
