Ingredients
- Potatoes 4 pieces
- Water 0 qt
- Carrot 1 piece
- Onion 1 piece
- Sorrel 5 oz
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Chicken Eggs 2 pieces
- Soup seasoning to taste
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Pour water (about 1–1.5 liters) over them and boil until cooked.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot on a coarse grater. Sauté in a heated pan with a small amount of vegetable oil; first, bring the onion to a light golden color, then add the carrot.
Step 3
Add the onion and carrot to the potatoes as soon as they are ready. Add the soup seasoning and cook for 5–10 minutes.
Step 4
Cut the sorrel into thin strips (to avoid excessive sourness, you can cut off the stems or add them only partially) and add to the soup.
Step 5
Lightly beat the eggs. Pour the egg mixture into the 'whirlpool' of the stirred boiling soup.
