Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the vegetables into strips, the potato and pumpkin into cubes, and the tomatoes into slices.
Step 2
Sauté the carrot, turnip, celery, and onion lightly in fat.
Step 3
In hot broth or stock, first add the cabbage and sautéed roots, then after 10–15 minutes of cooking, add the potato, and 5–6 minutes before the end, add the pumpkin and tomatoes.
Step 4
In the meat broth soup, add a piece of boiled meat; in the vegetarian version, add sour cream or serve it separately in a sauce boat.
