Description
Vegan Orange Pie
Ingredients
- Sugar to taste
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Activated Baking Soda 0 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Water 0 fl oz
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Oranges 3 pieces
- Lemon ¼ piece
- Potato protein 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Recipe for Vegan Orange Pie: 1. In a bowl, mix the flour with sugar and salt, then add the baking soda (dissolved in lemon juice or vinegar). 2. Pour in the water and vegetable oil. Knead a soft dough. If it is too dense, add a little more water. 3. Separate a small portion and place it in the freezer for 20–30 minutes. 4. Transfer the remaining dough to a greased round baking pan and spread it into a thin layer, forming edges. 5. Remove seeds from the peeled oranges and lemon. Blend the pulp into a smooth mixture using a blender. Then add the starch and sugar, and mix well. 6. Pour the orange filling into the pan. 7. Take the reserved dough from the freezer and grate it over the filling (I didn't have time, so I just placed it in strips). 8. Place the formed vegan pie in a preheated oven and bake at 180–375°F until cooked, about 30 minutes.
Step 2
Once cooled, dust the finished orange pie with powdered sugar or coconut flakes.
