
Vanilla Pie

Description
It has a light layer of meringue on top, a thin layer of syrup (sugar from the meringue) underneath, and finally, a soft, aromatic 'essence' of the pie.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 10 oz
- Vanilla salt 2 teaspoons
- Farm fresh eggs 6 pieces
- Baking Powder 2 teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Melt the butter, add 4 eggs + 2 yolks, and beat with a mixer for 3–5 minutes.
Step 2
Add 100–150 grams of sugar and vanilla sugar, and beat until fluffy and homogeneous. This takes about 5–7 minutes. Be gentle while mixing, as this is not a sponge cake, but a fluffy pie.
Step 3
Gradually add the flour with baking powder, first mixing with a mixer, and finish mixing with a spatula, as the dough will become 'stretchy'. The spatula will stand in the dough.
Step 4
Beat the remaining 2 egg whites and add 1 cup of sugar; there is no need to achieve complete dissolution of the sugar.
Step 5
Grease the baking pan with butter and sprinkle with flour. Transfer the dough.
Step 6
Pour the egg whites on top. There is no need to achieve a smooth layer, as it will create a crust that ideally cracks and creates a 'flaky' effect.
Step 7
Bake in a slow cooker or oven at 355°F for 40–60 minutes (check for readiness with a wooden stick).
