Description

Vanilla panna cotta with mango in syrup

Ingredients

  • Milk 10 fl oz
  • 10% cream 10 fl oz
  • Sugar 6 teaspoons
  • Vanilla Pod ½ pieces
  • Mango 2 pieces
  • Agar-Agar 2 spoons
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 3 spoons
  • Freshly squeezed orange juice 2 spoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Scrape the vanilla seeds with a sharp knife and place them in a small saucepan along with the pod. Add milk, cream, and three tablespoons of sugar.

Step 2

When it comes to a boil, reduce the heat and stir in the agar-agar into the milk and cream until fully dissolved, which should take about five minutes. Remove the vanilla pod, let the panna cotta cool slightly, pour it into individual cups, and place in the refrigerator for at least two hours.

Step 3

Peel the mango and cut it into small pieces. Heat half a cup of water with lemon and lime juice, then add the remaining sugar and stir until it dissolves.

Step 4

Pour the syrup over the mango pieces; once they become soft and the panna cotta has set, the dessert is ready to serve.
