Vanilla Cream for Cupcake Decoration

Description
The finished cupcakes can also be stored in the refrigerator for several days.
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Semi-soft cream cheese 10 oz
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- 10% cream 1 tablespoon
- Powdered Sugar 4 cups
- Red Food Coloring to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, use a mixer to combine the butter and cream cheese until smooth (about 30 seconds).
Step 2
Add the vanilla extract and powdered sugar. Using the mixer, first beat on low speed, then increase to high speed until the cream is fluffy and homogeneous.
Step 3
Slowly add the cream until the desired consistency is achieved. It's better to add less than 1 tablespoon to achieve a thick mixture (keep in mind that gel food coloring will make the cream thinner). Continue to whip the mixture for about 1 minute.
Step 4
Decorate the cupcakes using a star-shaped nozzle. If the cream is not thick enough, chill it in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
