Vanilla Cake
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Milk ½ cup
- Sugar ½ cup
- Butter 5 oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Raisins 0 oz
- Chopped almonds 0 oz
- Salt ¼ g
- Vanillin ¼ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Dissolve the yeast in warm milk, add salt, and mix with the flour to knead a stiff dough; roll it into a ball, make a cut on top, place the dough in a pot with warm water (2–2.5 liters), cover with a lid, and set in a warm place to rise.
Step 2
Separately, beat the egg with sugar and vanillin until white, add the softened butter, and mix everything together until fluffy.
Step 3
When the dough has increased in volume by about twice, remove it from the water with a slotted spoon and transfer it to another bowl, knead it, then add the eggs mixed with sugar and butter, knead again until the dough is smooth and pulls away from the bowl, add raisins and, if desired, chopped nuts or almonds.
Step 4
Transfer the dough to a mold (up to ½ its height), cover with a napkin, and place in a warm place. As soon as the dough rises and fills the mold to about ¾ of its height, place the cake in the oven to bake for 30–50 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the finished cake from the mold, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and place it on a plate with a paper napkin.
