Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Margarine 5 oz
- Jam 4 tablespoons
- Chocolate 5 oz
- Sugar 1 cup
- Chocolate eggs 4 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In an enameled pot, whip together the margarine, sugar, and eggs with a pastry whisk until the mixture is homogeneous and the sugar crystals have significantly reduced.
Step 2
Add the flour and mix the entire mass well. It will be somewhat liquid, and it needs to be spread thinly on a baking sheet or pastry board with a knife.
Step 3
Bake in a preheated oven at 220–465°F for 10–12 minutes. It is important that the product does not dry out.
Step 4
Spread the finished layers (there should be 5–6) with jam and stick them together. Do not stick the top layer.
Step 5
Place a small weight (press) on the glued layers for 30–40 minutes.
Step 6
Then remove the weight and pour melted chocolate over the top layer, quickly smoothing it with a knife, as the chocolate sets immediately.
Step 7
Cut the pastry into evenly sized portions, which can be square, cubed, or diamond-shaped. If you add 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder to half of the dough during mixing, you can alternate light layers with chocolate ones.
