Ukrainian-style Borscht with Chicken
Ingredients
- Poultry 1 piece
- Beetroot 1 piece
- Carrot 1 piece
- Salad Potatoes 3 pieces
- Onion 0 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce 20 oz
- Salt to taste
- Red Long Chili Peppers to taste
- Water 5 qt
- Safflower Oil 2 tablespoons
- Dried Chamomile 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the chicken for 20 minutes in salted water, then remove it from the water.
Step 2
Grate the beetroot on a fine grater, sauté for about 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly. Add to the water.
Step 3
After 10 minutes, add the peeled and diced potatoes.
Step 4
After 5 minutes, add the peeled carrots and onion, previously sautéed in oil.
Step 5
Finally, add the tomato paste, chicken meat, add pepper and herbs. Mix everything well and leave on the heat for a couple of minutes.
