Two-Tone Nutmeg Muffins
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Farm fresh eggs 5 pieces
- Butter 5 oz
- Cocoa Powder 2 tablespoons
- Ground Nutmeg ½ teaspoon
- Baking Powder 0 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Vanilla salt 0 oz
- 20% Sour Cream 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs, vanilla sugar, and regular sugar until frothy.
Step 2
Add the sour cream and softened butter. Sift in the flour and add the baking powder. Whisk the mixture until smooth.
Step 3
Divide the resulting batter into 2 equal parts: add nutmeg and cocoa to one part; add a tablespoon of flour to the other.
Step 4
In muffin tins, alternately add 1 tablespoon of each mixture. There should be 4 layers in total, i.e., 2 dark and 2 light.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 355°F (356 degrees Fahrenheit), and bake the muffins for 20-25 minutes at 390°F (392 degrees Fahrenheit).
