Two-Tone Cookies "Serpentine"
Ingredients
- Margarine 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Vanilla salt 2 teaspoons
- Wheat Flour 15 oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Cocoa Powder 4 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cream the margarine with sugar and vanilla sugar, add lightly beaten eggs, and mix.
Step 2
Add flour with baking powder, knead the dough, and refrigerate for 10–15 minutes (this step is not mentioned in the original recipe, but I included it).
Step 3
Divide the dough into 2 parts, add cocoa to one part, and mix.
Step 4
Roll out two equal layers, one white and one brown, place the brown layer on top of the white, roll into a log, and cut into pieces no thicker than 1 cm.
Step 5
Bake in the oven at 355°F for 15 minutes.
