Ingredients
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Dry yeast 1 teaspoon
- Sugar 2 teaspoons
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Toasted Sesame to taste
- Whole egg 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In warm milk, add yeast, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil.
Step 2
Mix everything well and gradually add the flour.
Step 3
The dough should not stick to your hands.
Step 4
Let the dough rest for an hour.
Step 5
After it has risen, divide the dough into balls, shape each ball into a long sausage, fold it in half, twist it into a braid, and connect and secure the ends to form a bagel.
Step 6
Brush the bagels with beaten egg yolk and dip them in sesame seeds.
Step 7
Place them on a baking sheet (no need to grease), put them in a preheated oven at 355°F, and bake for about 10 minutes until the bagels are golden brown.
