Ingredients
- Sour Cream 1½ cups
- Apple 30 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Vinegar essence 1 teaspoon
- Sugar 1 cup
- Ground Cinnamon to taste
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix room temperature butter (not melted) with 1.5 cups of flour. Pour half a cup of sour cream into the dough, and mix.
Step 2
Add the baking soda, quenched with vinegar, to the mixture, stir, and knead the dough a little with your hands. The dough should be soft and not stick to your hands.
Step 3
Peel the apples, remove the core, and cut them into thin slices, adding cinnamon.
Step 4
Roll out the dough and shape it to fit the baking dish you will use for the pie, then arrange the apple slices on top.
Step 5
In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of sour cream, the egg, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of flour, and lightly beat. The cream should be quite liquid in consistency. Pour the cream over the dough and apples in the dish.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 390°F, place the dish inside, and bake for about 50 minutes.
