- Puff Pastry 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 0 oz
- Gingerbread-flavored syrup 0 fl oz
- Shelled pumpkin seeds 0 oz
- Apple 5 oz
- Powdered Sugar 0 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Ground Cinnamon 0 oz
- Vanilla salt 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the coating mixture by combining both types of sugar (regular and vanilla) with ground cinnamon.
Step 2
Crush the nuts into small pieces approximately 3x3 mm in size.
Step 3
Divide the dough into four equal strips and place them on a floured surface. For each portion, use three strips weighing 62.5 grams each. Sprinkle 1/3 of the topping mixture over them and roll them into a spiral, overlapping each strip, around a metal rolling pin (4 cm in diameter). Use a brush to coat them with sugar syrup and secure them well. Once formed into a spindle, brush the top with sugar syrup, sprinkle with the remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture, and add crushed nuts.
Step 4
Place the dough on a rolling pin and transfer it to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for 20 minutes.
Step 5
Carefully remove the baked dough in the shape of a tube from the metal rolling pin. Place the trdelník on a wooden board lined with parchment paper, and next to it, place the grilled baked apple that has been warmed. Dust the dessert and the apple with powdered sugar.
