Description
They taste similar to cookies from round metal tins. Everyone loved them, and they take a maximum of 30 minutes to prepare.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Ocean salt a pinch
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soften the butter at room temperature in advance.
Step 2
Sift the flour with the baking powder and salt into a mound, making a well in the center.
Step 3
Place the butter and 2 tablespoons of sugar into the well, add a little warm water, and knead into a soft dough. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Then shape the dough into sausages with a diameter of 1 cm, and cut into pieces 9–10 cm long.
Step 5
Roll the pieces in sugar and pinch the ends together to form oval pretzels.
Step 6
Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 355°F until golden brown, about 10–15 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
